What is it that we do?

We are a Before-the-Event Legal Expense Insurance provider, meaning our policies give you the opportunity to pursue your legal rights, in PURSUIT or DEFENCE. Our policies cover the legal expenses you may incur, and are therefore covering the gaps left by other insurances which only cover the damages. The best way we can describe it is that we are to legal expenses what health insurance is to medical expenses.

“ARAG” is pronounced “AHR •agh” — is an acronym of our parent company’s name,
which means “legal protection insurance” in German.

 

Our products

First of all, every single one of our products comes with access to our Legal Helpline and Legal Document Centre. This way we can hopefully help you prevent or avert issues before you need to make a claim. Be it templates for employment contracts, lease agreements or just a quick call to make sure you are on the right track legally. This is an invaluable resource.

ARAG Services Australia Pty Ltd was established in Australia as an underwriting agency to administer Legal Expense Insurance on behalf of HDI Global Specialty SE - Australia as the Insurer of the products. First established in Germany over 85 years ago.
